LaShawn Brownlee, MSN, APRN, A-GNP-C, is a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who brings an exceptional blend of clinical expertise, analytical precision, and compassionate patient advocacy to adult and geriatric health. As a provider, she is deeply committed to helping patients navigate both acute needs and long-term chronic conditions through comprehensive, coordinated, and culturally responsive care.
During her primary care fellowship in a large, diverse health system, LaShawn functioned as a frontline provider for patients with complex medical conditions—including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart failure, and multiple comorbidities—delivering the full spectrum of primary care services. Her experience includes conducting thorough histories and physicals; ordering, interpreting, and communicating laboratory and diagnostic results; reconciling and managing medications; and developing evidence-based care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. She excels at supporting patients through ongoing disease management while also integrating preventive strategies that improve quality of life and reduce avoidable complications.
LaShawn’s approach to care is rooted in education, empowerment, and trust. She is committed to helping patients fully understand their health conditions, treatment options, and self-management tools, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported at every stage of their care journey. Her warm communication style and patient-first philosophy foster strong therapeutic relationships—especially with individuals managing chronic disease, experiencing health inequities, or facing barriers to care.
Her background in analytical chemistry and biotechnology quality assurance enhances her clinical practice with exceptional rigor, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Years of working with laboratory processes, wet chemistry, biological testing, and cGMP standards have shaped her ability to think critically, assess thoroughly, and approach clinical decision-making with clarity and precision.
As a provider, LaShawn is motivated by the belief that every person deserves equitable access to high-quality primary care—care that is proactive, preventive, and centered on the whole person. She remains committed to serving as a collaborative partner to her patients, supporting them in achieving better health outcomes and strengthening the communities she serves.
