Laeeq S. Shamsuddin, MD, is a physician specializing in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, sleep medicine, and internal medicine. He brings extensive experience caring for patients with complex respiratory and critical care needs, including chronic lung disease, sleep-related breathing concerns, acute respiratory illness, and conditions requiring coordinated pulmonary follow-up.
Dr. Shamsuddin’s clinical background includes leadership and physician roles across pulmonary, critical care, intensive care, and sleep medicine settings. He has served as Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital, and previously served as Medical Director of a Sleep Lab at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Illinois.
His training includes a Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Vermont, residency training in internal medicine, and medical education at Saba University School of Medicine.
