Gerald Frank, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician practicing in Vista’s Gurnee office. He has been caring for the Lake County community since 1971, and has a wealth of experience in treating acute and chronic illnesses like diabetes, obesity, bronchitis, hypertension, COPD, low back pain, anxiety, depression and more.
Dr. Frank believes it is the doctor’s role to offer the patient the latest developments in preventive care, diagnosis and therapy while empowering the patient to take responsibility for his or her well-being. He says, “My goal is to communicate honestly with my patients and provide personal and compassionate care at all times.”
In addition to treating patients in the office, Dr. Frank has served on a number of hospital committees throughout the years and currently serves as the Chairman of the Quality Performance Committee at Vista Health System.

Getting to Know Dr. Frank:
Dr. Frank was born in Boston and now resides in Lake County. He is married with two grown children, four grandchildren and several pets including a turtle, frog, cat and Yorkie. Dr. Frank served as a physician in the Navy at Great Lakes Naval Hospital and was honorably discharged with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He has also performed volunteer medical services in India, West Africa and Haiti and worked in Native American Reservations in Nevada and South Dakota.
