Dr. Anthony C. Vacca is a board-certified Pulmonary and Internal Medicine physician with over three decades of clinical expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England and holds a Master of Science from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Arts from LaSalle University.
Dr. Vacca completed his fellowship training in Pulmonary-Critical Care at the University of Missouri-Columbia, following a Critical Care Fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center and an Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership roles including Director of Intensive Care Units, Director of Respiratory Therapy, Chief of Medicine, and Chairman of Critical Care Committees at multiple health systems.
His professional interests include complex respiratory care, ICU management, and advancing pulmonary rehabilitation services. Dr. Vacca has been recognized with multiple honors, including a Teacher of the Year Award and a Research Fellowship Award. He remains committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical teaching.
Currently serving as a Pulmonologist and Director of Respiratory Therapy and Pulmonary Rehab at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana, Dr. Vacca continues to lead with compassion and clinical excellence.
